Follow-up any commitments you made in the firing meeting. It will probably not the be the last time you here from the fired worker. This letter is similar to a worker termination letter. Don't give a false reason to soften the blow, such as the "firm is down, we just have to let you go," when the real reason is poor job productivity with three written warnings as proof.
It doesn't matter how many witnesses saw the problem individual receive your verbal warnings, you'll lose without papers. As you now know, separating an employee is not as simple as saying "you're dismissed." It's a legal process and is therefore much more complicated that it appears on the surface. But having a sample memorandum makes it easier. A few "bad apples" spoil it for everyone. Instead, you negotiate the termination and the worker resigns. Terminating a worker for having a bad disposition can be a huge problem in the day-to-day firm of any company. Unfortunately, personnel claiming illegal lay off are suing companies every year. What is an employee firing agreement? By using worker rehabilitative forms, you can more easily solve problems with unacceptable work behavior and substandard work performance. At the end of the firing meeting, you have covered all bases with the worker so both you and the employee should fully understand why the dismissal occurred. Employers who should terminate an employee who falls under protective laws may feel like they are in a tough spot.
